For
more formal events, the dining room features sleek furniture and
a glass and iron chandelier. The couple commissioned the Hershey

On a wow-inspiring
lake set deep in the woods is the home of Miller and Megan van Vliet.
It's a special place loaded with many of the perks and luxuries normally
associated with someone shifting into a slower gear after years of
hard work. But for this thirty-something couple, waiting until old
age to build their dream home was not an option.
Miller and
his entrepreneurial wife took a leap of faith and decided to go
for it while they were still young. "I didn't have a lot of
debt coming out of medical training, and since we don't have any
kids yet, we decided not to wait until retirement to build our retirement
home," Miller says. "We thought we'd get a jump on things
and build it while we were in our early 30s."
